  • America's Economic Future

    On The Economy

It doesn't look like our government understands basic economics.   Anyone who has studied economics knows that for every 1 new manufacturing job that is created 4 support jobs are created in the process.  Growing the size of federal and state  governments creates government jobs but does not support economic growth.  We need to have more job creation in the manufacturing sector.

The Economy will improve if we stand together and make sure that our congressional elected officials understand that their job is in jeopardy if they continue on the path they have taken so far since Obama took office.  Adding debt to an economy that is not growing the jobs to pay the taxes needed to support that debt is just plain stupid.

If you got laid off, would you go out and increase your personal debt?  No one in their right mind would do that because it is a recipe for bankruptcy.   We Americans need to band together and take a long term look at what we are doing to our own society by buying all the products that are being made in China, India, and other places around the world.

We simply need to support our own country through a program of buying American Made Products.   We can start by putting "made in USA" behind every Google search we make to find a product to buy.

Encourage your friends to become purchasers of American made goods.  Because, if we do not grow our manufacturing base we will eventually become like Britain and have over 60 percent of all our goods imported.  The only way to sustain a positive growth in our country is to grow the economy from the bottom up.

Raising taxes on the public reduces the spendable income and reduces our ability to pay for new products.  The more the government takes from you the less you have to spend and the more likely you will be looking for the cheapest product to fill your needs.  When price is the only parameter of the decision of what to buy, China gets the business.  Therefore, increasing taxes to pay for a larger government puts the American taxpayer in a position the he will have a greater chance of buying an import that buying made in America.

It is time to stand up and tell our congressional officials that they are on the wrong track, one that will lead to inflation and a stagnate economy which will be self destructive.   The current direction of our government is 180 degrees from the direction it should be traveling.  More disposable income means more manufacturing which means more jobs which means more revenue to the government.  It was proven by John F. Kennedy and again by Ronald W. Reagan.   Both of these Presidents understood that growth of the economy comes from more disposable income, not more government spending.

As Winston Churchill remarked, "Trying to tax yourself into prosperity is tantamount to a man standing in a bucket and trying to pick the bucket off the floor by its handle"

Tax and spend is bad enough but spend, borrow the cover the spending, then raising taxes to pay back the borrowing is worse.

  • A Parallel Universe, maybe!

    http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> name="ProgId" content="Publisher.Document"> name="Generator" content="Microsoft Publisher 10">

It is time to contemplate a parallel universe.

A friend mentioned to me that it was time to write beyond the pithy thought.  Beyond the meaningful and tersely cogent?

Well let us examine the possibility of a parallel universe.   Scientists are marveled at examining the universe with its exploding stars and black holes.  When we consider the vastness of the universe, that which is outside of our own galaxy,  we need to stop and think about the fact the nearest star, other than our own sun, is so far away that it could have gone out trillions of years ago and we would not even know that it had happened.  Think about time in terms of billions of light years.  How long in our time it took for the light of a star to be seen by the human being.   There could have been a parallel universe somewhere out side of our galaxy who’s sun collapsed into a black hole and we would have no knowledge of that collapse or of that sun which may have disappeared from the universe so many light years ago that the light from that star was never seen here on earth.  I would not contemplate on the existence of one universe or many of them unless there was some scientific proof of the existence.

Simply put, one could argue that as precise as our solar system is, if it is a galactic accident then there is no God.  But if it would be statistically impossible for that to be an accident then the existence of God has to be true.

The major question is how long is one of God’s days.  Also, is He still at work creating what He started hundreds of billions of light years ago.  Is He still in His first week or has he gone beyond that week and is working on a parallel universe so that when we ruin this one he still has the faithful of the parallel universe to guide and care for.

I think this is just a little beyond the pithy, don’t you.

  • Working hard on my website

Developing a new website for e-commerce is a very difficult task.

I have been working very long hours putting data and pictures on http://www.furpetsonly.com/.  It is a website for people to buy dog collars, dog leads, dog harnesses and products for cats.

The development of furpetsonly.com is taking so much of my time that I don't have much time for creativity.

I really like blogging on Xanga and on Blogstream but my time is being taken up trying to build an e-commerce company.

If you have any suggestions as to how I could improve http://www.furpetsonly.com/, please put your comments down so that I can make the changes that I will need.  Or you can go to my website and use the contact us for your comments.

  • Clear thinking in current events

It seems to me that all things political are for the benefit of those favored by the mainstream press.  As an example, the current pirate ordeal and the result of actions taken by the U.S. Navy.  The press reported that Obama gave the order to shoot the pirates.  More than likely the scenario went down more like this.  I can tell you as an experienced Military person that when ever actions are contemplated, all scenarios are worked out well in advance of any contemplated military action.  Before the U.S. ship embarked on the mission, the possible contingency of using Navy Seal snipers had to be in the plan.  Otherwise, the snipers would not have been on the ship to begin with.  Military actions that have  been ordered by the pentagon are not spontanious.  They are well planned and usually rehearsed many times over, untill the commander of the operation is satisfied that the operation will come off without any errors.  If Obama, "gave the order to shoot" it was probably part of a larger discussion where the pentagon officer discussed the plan with the Secretary of Defense and asked for approval of the plan.  Then the Secretary of Defense asked the President if it was all right with him.  The President then would give permission to the Secretary of Defense to tell the pentagon officer that the operation has the President's OK.  That OK was then put in the form of a formal order to the ship commander that if it became necessary to kill the pirates, it was OK to do so.

The mainstream press was told about the shoot order after the incident because they wanted to hold back the information untill the operation became a success.  I would be willing to bet that if one of the pirates had not been killed with the first shot, and the captain got killed, you would have never heard of the President's involvement.  That information would have been put in a top secret file, not to be opened for 20 years.

I believe that it is obvious that the mainstream press is helping the President with his poll numbers.
